This Privacy Policy explains how ScoreWise (“ScoreWise”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the ScoreWise mobile app (the “App”). ScoreWise is a score tracker for card games. We built it to work without any account or sign-up, and we collect as little as possible.
Information you enter. When you create a scoreboard you may type player names or labels and scores. These are used to run the scoreboard. If you start or join a live shared game, the current scoreboard (including the player labels and scores you entered) is sent to our real-time database so others holding the same share code can see it. Use nicknames rather than full real names if you prefer not to share them.
Anonymous app identifier. To power live sharing, the App signs in anonymously to Firebase and is assigned a random anonymous identifier. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any real-world identity, and we do not use it to identify you.
Advertising identifier. The App may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device’s advertising ID and related ad data to serve and measure ads. See “Sharing & disclosure” below.
Device & diagnostic data. Our service providers (Google Firebase, Google AdMob) may automatically process standard technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, general region/IP, and crash or performance diagnostics, to keep the App working and secure.
Local data. Your saved games and scores are stored on your device. This on-device data is not transmitted to us except when you use live sharing.
We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed by our service providers only to provide the functions above:
Live-shared scoreboard data is visible to anyone you give the share code to. Only share it with people you want to see the game.
On-device scores remain until you delete them or uninstall the App. Live shared session data is short-lived and used only to sync an active game; it is not used to build a profile of you.
Data transmitted for live sharing is sent over encrypted (TLS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
